MIGUEL MERMELSTEIN 

With 10 actors, 6 musicians, 1 car and 1 bicycle, Panidrom is a traveling piece that develops a trajectory of 1 km through gardens, squares and spaces of the city.

Panidrom was born from perceptions and propositions about the word "earth" and its articulations with the socio-political context of the city of Rio de Janeiro. With the creation of a city-event, its territory has been the stage for one of the largest number of removals and expropriations of its history.

The characters of this geo-philosophical fable roam the world in search of the new earth, of a physical and ideal place that is to come, and are moved by this desire of the new. Where are we going? What are we looking for? Who are we in this city and in this disputed territory?

The piece deals with the subject of attachment to the earth, be it physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. We seek to understand new ways of belonging to the world of today, other ways of relating to space.

Panidrom is an invitation to experimentation, an experience in space, in the city and in ourselves.
